Clapp promoted more single-day automotive racing events than any other individual, extending his influence to Australia, Japan, the Rocky Mountains, Alberta, New Mexico, and Northern Mexico.

Clapp’s contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including inductions into the West Coast Stock Car/Motorsports Hall of Fame, the West Coast Media Hall of Fame, and the Wall of Fame at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, California. His expertise and leadership continue as Chairman of the Board and CEO of the West Coast Stock Car/Motorsports Hall of Fame and as a member of the Board of Directors for nine organizations across the United States.

An accomplished author, Ken Clapp wrote Sea to Shine Sea: Racing from the Wild West to Daytona Beach, chronicling the evolution of stock car racing and his own incredible journey in the sport.

Clapp’s dedication to motorsports is matched by his commitment to giving back. His leadership in the March of Dimes and his organization of the Hall of Fame Induction Dinner in March 2025 exemplify his philanthropic spirit. The event, with proceeds exceeding $1 million donated to charity, is a testament to his unwavering commitment to community service.
